Alice Powell-Brown

Mrs. Alice Powell-Brown learned to read music in the early 80’s while in middle school and began ringing bells at the chapel on base in Jacksonville, North Carolina. While living in Texas City, she played with three different levels of bell ringer groups. Since moving to San Antonio Mrs. Powell-Brown became a Special Education teacher with NEISD and a Staff Lead with Special Reach, Inc. She also directs the handbell and chimes choir at Second Baptist Church and rings with the Joyful Ringers at Windcrest United Methodist Church. Mrs. Powell-Brown holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education and a Master’s in Instructional Technology. She is married to an Air Force Veteran, has 4 children, and one grandson. This will be her first season with River City Ringers.
