Steve Lozano is a retired music educator who, most recently worked for the Nixon-Smiley district. During a 38 year career he has taught in both large and small school settings, teaching all grades 6-12 in band. As a church musician, Steve is a longtime member of the St. Andrews choir and rang bells in their bell choir. A trumpet player, Steve studied privately with Ray Crisara while at the University of Texas. Steve served as principal trumpet for the San Antonio Municipal Band and for the Lakeshore Winds, while teaching in Mesquite and was a section member for the Mesquite Symphony. Steve is honored to be asked to serve as interim director for the River City Ringers and is looking forward to a musical and fun season.
